I don't know if any of you are familiar with Cut&Paste , but they are holding a challenge for a Phototshop bumper with the theme of
"See What's Possible", that is 15seconds max.
I was stoked on the open box of this,, and that the winner gets $20,000, so created 2 vids.
They were made as a perfect loop, and can be played forward or in reverse.

Here is a link to my profile page where you can view and vote: My SWP Entries

They are at low res because we had to submit on a webTV, like YouTube or Revver.. sooo.
When you go to each one, in the description are links to the high-res versions of the loops, (2 fwd. + 2 bak.).

I'll put here the high-res links to each of the loops.
Temple Garden Loop: Hi-Res | Higest-Res

Reincarnation Loop: Hi-Res | Higest-Res

I certainly enjoyed looping on these and getting tranced out.. I hope you do!

{{ Please at least click on each link on the Cut&Paste site, so that my # of views goes up.. helps with the promo }}

thanks youz!

Phong:
I'm working on that.. I also want to render out clips of just the flowing lines..
what is good resolution / file size for VJ clips?

Thanks Simon! VJ clips should be in NTSC, which is:

720x480 with
0.9 pixel aspect ratio at
29.97FPS

That is standard NTSC which will burn straight to a DVD, and match well with most other VJ materials out there.
Also it's is recommended to encode them High Quality, Motion JPEG A, Quicktime

Sweetness. Very glowy and flowy.
I see lots of light being faces in that second one.

You are the unstoppable creative force, Simon.
It's fun watching your rapid evolution in paintings, Painter and P-Shop.

Thanks guys!

Also:
I've updated the links to the loop files.
They were .mp4 files which I later realized couldn't be viewed on some windows comps for some reason.
So the new ones are .mov QuickTimes that are also a bit smaller file size for download.

Temple Garden: Med-Res | Hi-Res

Reincarnation: Med-Res | Hi-Res

For those people interested in video compression, I thought the H264 compression out of After Effects was working better in some ways than out of Quicktime, but it turns out that may only be for some circumstances, of which I'm not sure.
So H264 is still better right out of quicktime if you're looking for decent image quality and small file size. I go from a MotionJPEGA file, then to H264 for web.
The H264 out of AE has a bit nicer color quality, more contrast and richer colors, but bigger file size, generally, and the audio doesn't seem as good.
Also as I said before, but as a good reminder; H264 out of AE makes an .mp4 file, which doesn't work on some comps.
Whereas H264 out of Quicktime makes a .mov file, which can be viewed on mostly everything.

enjoy!
