Dont go getting all "no knockouts" with me air! lol.
Naw, i appreciate your comments, however...
Im actually trying to give the book a more painterly feel, with less of the linework showing, and more emphasis on colorful, rough brushstrokes, and color choices. Thats the plan anyway. I dont know how it will print, but a lot of the details are actually painted in (photoshop and painter) rather than following the lines. Im hoping for artwork that looks more like animation cells. Im kind of tired of seeing the line art always in black... its too intense. Im enjoying working with the subtleties... though i still have much to learn, and plenty of room to grow with it.

It looks good to me, i like the variation in tone, though there is a risk of it flattening out if it goes too light. I hope it prints how you want it to.

The appletree portion of the story is actually a memory in book 3. Im giving away some of the story here, but I dont think its gonna kill the overall story.

I actually did 3 pages today, but im not happy with pg 4 yet.

Trent, your work is spellbinding.
There is not much more to say, other than
I love to thoroughly cognize your imagery.

The monsters projecting out of the shadows is marvelous.

Deep respect

Thanks!
I'm still trying to get the hang of coloring pages in this style. I hope i can keep this pace up. I was planning to be up to pg 15 by the 15th... but... I dont think ill make that, nor do i want to rush anything. maybe its just the way every artist is... but i hope i get the chance to do another pass on these pages before the book goes to press.

You might be wondering how progress goes upon the most anticipated "Nova Colony" book? Okay, well, ill tell you anyway.
Issue 1 is inked and lettered. Pending a few tweaks here and there, some halftones etc...pigs WILL fly before the years end for this little oinker. (by oinker i mean... its small and slippery... it just hangs out with the muck)
