how did you do this?

It's just all photoshop, using various brushes and a then a little bit of overlay texture for added oomph. My previous work used overlays rather extensively, and I like them, but in looking back at them they feel a little bit too clean to me. Almost like I just modeled in 3d something and posed it and added procedural materials to it. So I have been trying to get a more painted look lately...so that's what it is. Just lots of different brushes.

Feedback from the band has been positive. They just want the priest to be a touch more evil and the text to be red (which I agree with...white is too stark).

Just figuring roughly in my head, probably around 75 hours give or take. So for me, that is quite a long time.
Haha, I basically never want to paint folded fabric again.
