Someone on DA submitted a picture that I fell in love with so I asked her if she minded
me using it as a reference for a study in painting trees. She said "yes" and I said "yay!".

Very nice rendition.
When I saw the painting I thought,
"How could the photo look like that?!"
But it does. Purdy. I like the way the
bench balances the values in photo. It also invites
the viewer to enter and sit. It is nice to have you active
in the fora and cool to see how often you paint. I am so lazy.

The bench does add a really nice element to the photograph - I wish I could go there. I did this piece as a warm-up for my next image which is going to be a larger, more personal painting.
It's only been recently that I've been painting a lot. Usually I'm lazy too.
Thank you for the kind words.

Thank you so much, fellas. I'm rather ashamed that I haven't started the piece I did this as a warm-up for though. I meant to work on it the next day. Instead I just took some pitiful photo refs and forgot about them.
Hopefully this week I'll get with the program and work on it. I told several people to IM me if I haven't completed it and I fear their onslaught of evil messages.
